Caroline Kole (Singer of "Winter" the documentary song)
Q: What inspired you to write a song about Winter? How old were you when you wrote it?
A: I wrote "Winter" after reading the article that the then "St. Pete Times" had written about her and her story. I'm a really sensitive and emotional person and everything that Winter had gone through was so eye opening and inspiring. I was about...maybe... 12 when I wrote it?
Q: Has you ever worked with/touched Winter? A: I've never actually touched Winter, but she touched me! She's the toughest girl I know. When I sang at the premiere of the movie I got to hang out with her a little. Q: What was it like for you to sing at the Dolphin Tale premiere with Cozi singing with you? A: So fun!! I'd never done anything like it! It was an exciting moment for the town, for me, for Winter I bet! And singing with the star in the movie was so cool, especially because she was so nice! Q: How does it feel to have your song be the "Documentary Song?!" A: Surreal. I never dreamed the song would be featured in the documentary at all, let alone with a spotlight on it. David Yates is so cool!! Q: How does you like touring with Reba!? A: Saying I love it would still be an understatement. Reba is the Queen, and she and her whole team treat me like I'm a queen!! She gives me advice and is such an incredible human being.
Q: What advice does you have for people who are interested in a career like yours? A: My advice? I get asked this question a lot, and my answer is always, "Work hard" "Find what you love and run with it" and things of that nature which are all true!!! But besides that, always make time to have fun and sit back and relax so that you can really appreciate it all.
